  • What does FarSight Research & Advisory do?
FarSight Research & Advisory is an independent research and advisory firm. We help business, technology service providers, and governments better understand emerging industries, the risks and the opportunities by providing research-based insights, best practices, and help implementing them through our advisory services.
  • Are research reports and best practices available in other languages?
Non-English versions may be made available based on demand. If you do not see the digital product available in your preferred language, please contact us at info@farsightadvisory.com.
  • Which is better, FarSight's emerging industry research reports or commissioned (i.e. custom) research?
It really depends on your objectives, existing knowledge base, timeline, and budget. If your objectives can be answered through our existing research reports, or you are starting with a very limited understanding of the emerging industry, then that is the best route as it is also the least expensive and the fastest way to understand the industry. If you have more nuanced questions, need a more specific audience, or are already familiar with the emerging industry, etc. then commissioned research very well may be the right direction.
  • Why do you offer market and industry level research?
There are three reasons why we provide this type of research: 1. Lower cost for our clients compared to custom research. 2. Our existing emerging industry research allows organizations to make more informed decisions quickly, instead of waiting for custom research to be completed. 3. We have found that organizations that are evaluating emerging industries are often unsure of what questions to ask so our experts in those industries design our research to address known and potential areas of concern and opportunity.
  • How do you decide on which markets to conduct research?
The common thread among our research topics are emerging industries with: A lot of growth potential. They may be small or sizable already, but with strong growth potential. Existing marketplace competitors and potential new entrants have very limited data and insights to help them: (a) determine market viability for their organization, (b) craft an informed go-to-market strategy, (c) prioritize opportunities, and (d) maximize short-term ROI.
  • What kinds of research do you conduct?
We conduct primary research (surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.) and secondary research as they relate to the emerging industries we focus on. Our commissioned research services are not limited to emerging industries. Our primary research topics include: Market Entry Strategy Research Competitive Landscape and Market Share Opportunity Sizing Feasibility Research & Analysis Deep-Dive Market Studies Market Segmentation and Growth Strategy Emerging Industry Forecasting Product Forecasting
  • How is FarSight's research different from other research service providers?
Our research if different because it is highly focused on providing our clients with a clear and decisive direction based on the data, analysis, and industry best practices. Most research provides summary statistics, which are important, but leaders need decisive answers and insights to help propel their businesses forward. We focus our industry research, and encourage our clients to focus commissioned research, on actionable design that answers critical business questions and provide clear and actionable outcomes. Research should answer questions such as: What should we do to accelerate profitability and ROI? What content should we include to meet consumer needs and drive higher engagement? Through which channels and programs should we be communicating with customers and prospects? Why have my customers stopped engaging or buying? Why have one-time buyers not come back? Why do my prospects choose my competitor? How and where can we improve the customer journey? How do we prioritize our offerings to different audiences? What are the gaps between our brand positioning and customer / prospect perceptions? How can we make our loyalty program more valuable to prospects and customers? Coupled with your customer and prospect data, our integrated research approach provides businesses with a perspective not offered by traditional research services.

Just because we don’t publicize the imposed penalties does not mean that Content Compliance did not investigate and take action that we felt was necessary to rectify the misuse. We do not disclose the identities of those who bring forward suspected misuse, unless we are compelled by legal obligation to disclose them. FarSight Content Compliance may alert individuals who bring forward suspected misuse when the issue has been addressed.

  • Is the payment mechanism FarSight uses secure?
The payment mechanism we use follows industry best practices and complies with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) and adheres to Level 1 PCI Compliance. The PCI DSS is the highest information security standard for organizations or companies that accept credit card payments. This standard provides protection of the privacy and confidentiality of the card's data used to complete the online transaction. PCI Compliance helps to create a secure environment by improving the quality of the cardholder data in order to reduce the rate of credit card fraud cases. In addition, it ensures that the data for each payment is stored securely in a tamper-proof manner.
